    There are 3 weeks left for the Halloween events! Read all about them on the Halloween update post. Today's updates: Indulge now has no cast time with an aftercast delay, instead of having a cast time. OBB/OPB drop tables updated with some missing 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 items that are currently available from monsters. Cultivate Plant is only usable on maps where dead branch is enabled. Combined with spotlight settings, this makes it so you can't cultivate plants on spotlight maps or dungeons.

  7. Gear/Non-Weapon Refine Needs a Buff

    if it wasn't clear, I"m not suggesting we make the values as insane as classic where DEF in general was broken. back in classic its way too easy to get high defense numbers over all. I'm suggesting more minor changes that make them relevant. because in their current state they are completely irrelevant. the difference between a +7 full plate or robe only is big becaues of the base defense. you wouldn't +7 either because you don't care. you would leave them at +4. It's not even worth breaking armor on here. and that was my point. just make it worth it to refine. right now its really not. and we aren't in renewal where more gear requires upgrade values. we may never even reach renewal as a lot of people just don't like it. there's definitley more than a little room for some buffs. its an aspect of the game basically not being used right now.

    I used to have a similar train of thought like the one you described here. I actually spent quite a bit of time trying to spreadsheet improvements to the upgrade system. In the end I did change my opinion on if it needs to be changed at all for the following reasons: DEF from upgrades in Classic was honestly too strong, it scaled way too well. Renewal shifted the focus to base armors mattering more than upgrades. The difference between a +7 Full Plate or +7 Silk Robe is way bigger now than it is in Classic. This makes the choice of armor way more relevant and makes it so that thematically more heavily armored classes end up with more defense. Since Renewal a lot more cards and gear scale with upgrade values, giving a reason beyond just DEF to upgrade your equipment. The rework of Assumptio is a big deal which I initially forgot too, but it DOUBLES hard DEF. Definitely something to keep in mind too. In conclusion I don't really think that we need a change in upgrade values. There might be room for minor buffs to make upgrading more attractive but they're just that, minor.
  9. Gear/Non-Weapon Refine Needs a Buff

    With how painfully hard it is to refine armor without enriched (which isn't a bad thing), it should feel good to refine an armor. Worth it, rather. Currently, that is clearly not the case as in revo-classic/renewal you don't bother to refine your armor unless the gear has a requirement for it or there is a card that has a specific requirement you want to slot in it. And no, its not just the defense changes in renewal. DEF was nerfed hard across the board, but the def you get from items is still relevant. The difference between a full plate and a cloth armor for an (extreme) example is still relevant. So why isn't armor the same? Well, armor refine in renewal was balanced around the idea of people being able to reach their new limit of +20 instead of +10 that you see in pre-re. This means the bonuses had to be more spread out. Not only does +20 not exist here, it only exists on official servers as a pure cash grab to basically force players to buy HD elu/carnium/safe certs/enriched etc. Its a huge cash grab and little else. On servers without it, you basically don't even try to go past +12 even in renewal as its completely impractical with the success rates (8% each time past 10). For my last point, I want to say that armor refine not being relevant is BAD for the long term health of our server. Sure, the game functions balance wise with or without it, but without goals for higher refines for armor, that's one less time sink and a quicker amount of time people could get bored. To keep in theme with the goals of our server, I think its important to make every aspect of the game that encourages actually playing the game more relevant. And farming gear/breaking it, trying to reach a goal is one of, if not the biggest parts of the game. Weapon/Armor refine is one of the big aspects (besides cards) that separate Ragnarok from other MMOs. and it's lacking in Revo-Classic(and as such, this server) I propose we just adjust the def bonus you get from refines to be scaled up to +10 instead of the bonuses you currently get which are scaled at a system where +20 armor is (potentially) a thing. I won't bother proposing exact numbers as I'm not into the math side of things, but I'm sure the staff with some time could figure out approriate numbers which would make armor refine feel relevant, but not break the game. Please answer the poll whether you agree or not!

  12. The in-game messaging doesn't seem to be tightly connected to the forums, and we should change that. Almost all player discussion is done via Discord or #main these days, which means most opinions are not well thought out and are easy to ignore. People end up feeling disappointed. My suggestion here is simple: At each maintenance, update the in-game greeting message to point out that a maintenance was done and forums have details. Asking for feedback via forums would also go a long way.

    Just reiterating various suggestions that have been made on Discord the other day (some of which have already been made by Charlie in another post, so credit to him as well): Since we don't really have a main town, it would be nice to have a general map/area for the community to hang out in and meet other people. This could either be a different map (like the Eden Group maps for example) or an existing town with enough space (Prontera? Juno?). These suggestions have been made to give people reason to use such an area: Move all the Hunting Boards there - this way people can easily recruit for parties in said area by putting up chats (as well as still using #party) and use it as a meeting point Add a universal Tool Dealer - with all the commonly needed items that don't already exist in each town (like Berserk Potions, Fire Arrows and Blue Gems for example), to save people some time; adding SP items has also been suggested Add a Kafra - not sure about being able to save there, but at least storage and cart rental seems fine; possibly akin to the Airship Rep in Juno that warps to all Rune-Midgard cities for higher fees depending on distance Add guild banners - these could be rented by guild leaders for a fee for a certain amount of days (maybe a week at a time?) to promote their guild. Imagine a little banner with the guild emblem, and when you click it you get info about the guild; optionally: one NPC with a list of all the guilds who paid for the service, with pre-defined tags (WoE, PvM, Social, etc) so people can easily search for one that fits them. Having it timed keeps it to active guilds only and the fee could be a small zeny sink (can't be too high to keep up for a new guild though!) Moving existing custom NPCs there - like the Stylist and Stat/Skill Reset NPCs, as well as whatever else might be around Maybe having some way to view the currently available costumes better than in the Token Shop? Add a general help/info NPC - with stuff like Discord, forums, wiki and support mentioned

    TitanRO Rebirth Rebirth is now available in TitanRO! Characters of 2-1 and 2-2 jobs who have reached 99/50 can transcend by speaking with the Valkyrie in Yuno, and be reborn as a High Novice. Progress through your first jobs as normal, then return to Valkyrie to become a transcendent class! High novices and first job transcendent classes can be recognized by their unique sprites: Odin Temple From Hugel, you can now travel to the island of Odin's Temple where you will find high level angels and demons to fight. Are you strong enough to face the Valkyries of Odin Temple? Mechanics Changes Hunter traps (Blast Mine, Claymore Trap, and Land Mine) now have a 0.8 second variable cast time, up from instant cast. Enchant Deadly Poison damage multiplier reduced from 400% to 300%. Enchant Deadly Poison no longer has a 50% penalty on Soul Destroyer and Sonic Blow. Item/Drop Changes Any remaining 11.1, 11.2, and 11.3 drops are added. Monsters now drop items from these episodes. Some examples of this are: Ballista from Dracula and Red Silk Seal from White Lady. Episode 12 and later items no longer drop from monsters. Some examples of this are: Rogue's Treasure and Eye of Dullahan no longer drop. Existing versions of these items are considered "legacy" and will remain otherwise unobtainable until we add the content back. Pocket Watch and Double Bound had dropped from Guild Dungeon monsters and have been removed. The owners have been compensated with an Old Purple Box. Miscellaneous Changes The Valkyrie no longer requires that you carry exactly 1,285,000z to rebirth. Hunter job change has moved to Hugel (no longer in Payon). Blacksmith job change has moved to Einbroch (no longer in Geffen).

  24. Hi I wanted to create a discussion about what trans items are going to/ ought to be released at launch. I think it’s a good idea to look at and implement the updated trans gear specifically from small MVPs on the launch date for these reasons: 1) TitanRO is a revo-classic server and many of the gears are very relevant in this meta as opposed to a classic server. For example Red Square Bag from Misstress looks like a viable bombing weapon where it was useless in classic. Chakram from Osiris looks very interesting for Assassin Crosses where it has never been a "meta" item historically. 2) Dea Staff from Maya is another example that falls into reason 1), but I also think Dea Staff is necessary for ME priests to be viable at a whopping 220 mattk. Currently their best weapon is a 130 matk weapon since they cannot use soul staff nor wizardry staff. Odin’s releases Divine Cross, however it’s a .25 base rate off of a Skeggiold. 3) These gears should be implemented sooner than later to offer more dynamic options for gearing while they are able to be relevant. Many gears like Giant Axe from Orc Hero, and Erde from Orc Lord are very good and viable with current gear, but by no means best in slot compared to later content (Hurricane Fury from Gloom Under Night beats Giant Axe, and 2s Stunner beats Erde when slotting npc gets implemented). 4) MVP hunting needs to be revitalized on the server. There have been many complaints that I’ve seen that the MVP scene is “dead”. As someone who has arguably MVPed the most on the server, I can say I don’t MVP as much because I have already attained all the gear I want for myself and my guild. Implementing these gears gives a very high incentive for people to MVP hunt again. 5) New valuable gear evens out the playing field again for the resurgence of players expected to return to the server on trans launch. People just need a trap hunter to kill some of these mvps or a monk and they can sell these gears for a lot of zeny and get "back into" the game quicker than if these items did not exist. 6) There is an argument that this server wants to follow the “official timeline” for gears, but TitanRO has already deviated from that timeline (ie, transcendent release date being later and the talk of implementing lower levels of Endless Tower). Deviating from the official timeline can be a good thing within reason and I think this deviation is very reasonable given some of the reasons I have listed above. I also suggest looking at implementing trans gears into Guild Dungeon because it incentivizes WoE. There is literally no reason to hunt in GD at the moment except for cards, but some of the trans gear in GD is very valuable.
  25. There are definitely a bunch of people not playing much at the moment because they're waiting for trans, at least speaking for my own guild. That's partly why the market might be a bit stale at the moment, but everyone being out grinding again should help revitalise that
  26. Welcome everybody! I started playing here when the server started, but for many, many reasons I had to stop playing. Just recently I had the opportunity to start gaming again, and I am considering returning to the game, because in a few days, trans classes will be released, if I am correct. My question is, currently how bad/good is the online market? And, most importantly, I see that about 60+ online players are Merchants. Does this server still have a proper playerbase, who is waiting for Trans at the moment, or is it only about 60-70 players? I know the question might sound rude like this, but it is better to know these things in advance. Thank you for understanding.
